Introducing: ORI SCONCE

A PERSONAL NOTE —

Introducing the latest exploration of Dust + Form — the ORI SCONCE. This flush mount light is the culmination of over 1.5 years of R+D coupled with collaboration from glass blowers and technical engineers to accomplish a deceivingly simple design.

I am personally thrilled to share this light as it signifies a new step for me, one of more collaboration and design that stretches beyond my trained skills as a ceramicist.

By far the most rewarding aspect of this project has been fostering the relationships with others who have dedicated years to their craft, bringing to life something I could have only dreamed of on my own. It is a beautiful practice in collective accomplishment.

Ori means “to rise” in Latin and roots in the word “orient” or “where the sun rises from”.
